Americans are faced with questions and issues that never existed before. Stresses are building to levels which are destroying relationships, impacting communities and causing significant emotional reactions. How are Christians to deal with these questions and issues?
The Built on Truth Series offers powerful suggestions to Christians about how to deal with difficult questions and issues in a transparent and consistent way. Others may not like or agree with the outcomes, but they should be able to understand how they were attained.
Some foundational assumptions of Christianity are God exists and is active in the world, God created everything, and the Bible was provided by God so people can know what to believe, how to make choices and how to live according to God’s standards.
A good next step is to find direct and indirect Scriptures pertaining to the subject at hand.

Ezra had one of the most difficult jobs of any leader in history. He led a contingent of Jews back from exile to Jerusalem. They had been in exile for about seven decades and had been close to annihilation. They knew they were being punished for being unfaithful to God and for disobeying his commandments. While in exile, they decided to never disobey God again.
However, when Ezra arrived in Jerusalem, he found many of the Jews left behind and many of the exiles who had previously arrived had married non-Jewish wives and had children by them. This was blatantly against God’s commandments for the Jews. The solution was for the Jews to repent and try to repair the situation. They sent the wives and children away.
When faced with hard problems or questions, it is a good idea to specifically define the issue. Define it in as much detail as you can. Using that definition, find all of the Scriptures that are directly relevant to the situation. A good start is doing a word search using YouVersion, BibleGateway or another good program. Next, you might try Google or an Artificial Intelligence program to search out specific studies and commentaries about the issue.
